The Blessing

Most people thinks when people say "you are blessed". It is talking about God having a special favour on you, and your life is smooth, you have wealth, you have health you have great relationships and things are just going well for you. This certainly is the attributes of a blessed man. However this doesn't define if you are blessed or not. This is only the expression, or the manifestation, or the fruits of a blessed man.

In the same way, if you are experiencing poverty, sickness, and you have bad relationships with people, and things are falling apart. This doesn't mean you are necessarily cursed, however this may indicate that you have not understood how blessing works, and hence have not put faith and action into manifesting those blessings.

Most people don't feel they are cursed, but in the same light, they don't feel they are particularly blessed either. They live in a place call mediocre, thinking this is the norm, the correct. Like Marionette from Miraculous says "Just a normal girl, living a normal life". They feel God choose and pick the ones he blesses, and maybe if you pray enough, ask him enough, he may bless you too.

The truth is, Yes God does blesses people. We see in the old testament, God Blessed Abraham, God Blessed Noah, God bless OBed-Edom, God Blessed David, and a whole bunch of people. And because these people are blessed, and at the same time we see some people that are not. We think this is how God works. That he blesses some and not others, if we obey enough, or we do the right thing we are blessed like them, and some times God just blesses some more than others, and it is the norm.

However the apostle Paul tells us in the book of Ephesians that God HAD blessed the church with ALL spiritual blessings. (Eph 1:3). It means that everybody who believes in Jesus are already blessed!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph 1:3

But I don't feel blessed? I feel I am actually cursed! The reason that you feel cursed is because you have placed your situation and the circumstances that you are going through above the word of God. And you have defined your position of blessing or curses based on the things that is happening to you. However you are blessed, not because you feel it or don't feel it, you are blessed because God's word which describes and defines the truth has already been said about you. For you to experience the blessing or to manifest the blessing on this world, you need to put faith in what the Word of God had already said. Agree and belief it, even in the midst of your troubles, by putting faith in the word of God that you are already blessed, you start to pull out what you have in the spiritual and it starts to manifest in the physical in time.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6

Exercise your pray inline with your blessing. because you are blessed, when you see lack, you curse it and you speak supply in that area, when there is sickness you command that to be healed. The word of God is true, and as such the blessing will manifest, their maybe a time element to this, as described in the principle that the word of God works like a seed, (mark 4) there is seed, time then harvest.

When you have a paradigm shift from being someone who is waiting for God to bless you or am waiting for a greater blessing to come, and until that time you are not blessed, and changing that to the correct paradigm, that I am already blessed, hence I have the innate power to change the world for the better, because the blessing inside me enables me to do it.  Your earthly life will start to follow to what you already have in the Spiritual.

God did NOT selected only a few to Prosper

One of the reasons, that Christians live a mediocre life is because they belief mediocre is where they should be. Because of the condition that we have been in, we have never seen the possibility or the vision that the life that we live, can be dramatically different to the one our family, or our friends has lived or are living.

You may find in the world that there are a few rich people, then there is a whole chunk of average folks, and then mountains of poor people in the world, and across the board there does not appear to be a distinction between if they are Christians or not, I would even dare to say, it would even appear that there are more secular super rich people than there are Christian super rich people! This is alarming, because this shouldn’t be the case. We Christians have all of heavenly blessings. (eph 1:3 whereas the non Christians don't have this) However most Christians don’t manifest it. The reality of so little Christian prospering, leads most Christians to the false belief that "God blesses a selected few financially to be prosperous, but not to most"and in regards to how he choose whom to be prosperous, he may choose Christians or Non-Christians, as from observation, we do not see an exceeding amount of rich Christians over that of non Christian. And more so than this, we don't see "Spiritual" Christians being more prosperous than others.

It is because of the belief that "God selected only a few to be prosperous", that is the reason why most Christians do not go after prosperity the way God intended us to. Underlying deep in our belief system, We have taken on a lie that God might intended us NOT to prosper. You see the reason why some people prosper more than others may they be Christian or not, is not because God chose those to be prosper over others, but it is because they have gained knowledge, understanding and wisdom to the rules of finance, and they walked according to those laws, this is the reason they are prospering. May they be Bill Gates or the Godfather.

The believe that God has selected only a few to be rich, keeps people in mediocrity, and be content with lack (“content” in a negative way, ie bounded, but cannot do anything about it). They are not motivated to search out how finances works, because they have taken on the perspective that people are rich because of fate, God choose those people to be rich and that is why they are rich. Now because they have experienced living in the average historically, and also see the people around them doing the same, they have taken on the belief that they were not the chosen ones to be rich.  And as such do not seek knowledge, understanding and wisdom as to WHY they need to be prosperous, and also do not seek knowledge, wisdom and understanding as to HOW they are to manifest prosperity. It is the ungodly belief that they are predestined to be mediocre, that keeps them in mediocre.

If I belief God does prosper me, Will it mean I will be able to be as rich as Bill Gates or Warren Buffet?
The answer is YES, but also No. Because the prosperity of God, is dependent also on some basic laws that are in operation in this world.

God's prosperity is promise based, and those promises in order to manifest, needs to be executed by faith in those promises. In order to prosper, you need to know what he said about you prospering, and how you are to prosper. 1) In the bible, you will read that he blesses what you put your hands to (Deut 28). If you do not put your hands to do anything, 100 x zero = ZERO. You need to work with what you have. 2) the process of, Seed, Time, Harvest will always applies. So in order for the things that is in your hands to become fruitful, there will be a process of planting seeds, a stage of growth, before fruit/harvest comes.

Lets look at this from a practical sense. and we choose Bill Gates as an example, only because most people know who he is and what he does. If Bill Gates never spent his time in the computer room in the early years of his life, he will not have what he has got. He needed to apply himself and learn the skill sets that he has got and continues to get, in order for him to continue to grow in prosperity.

secondly, Bill Gates' Microsoft is not at where it is now, back when it was pumping out MS-DOS. There are generations of products, repeated cycles of planting seeds, developing the product, and then harvest that happened along the way, to grow Microsoft to where it is today.

Yes you "can" be as prosperous as Bill Gates, however the principle of seed TIME harvest still applies. if you have limited TIME, by logic, you will have less Seed Time Harvest Cycles. So even if you have the best idea, if you are 99. there may be limited harvest cycles left. The size of your harvest is also dependent on the seed that you have placed. Less seed, less harvest, more seed more harvest. And how much seed you have, is also dependent on previous harvests that you have. We have to understand the path of wealth is a journey and a growth process, it is not a one time thing.  Bill Gates is much further on his way in the marathon of wealth, than others if they are just starting off.

Also, prosperity is limited by the law and gov't of the land. At places where there is limited possibility to apply yourself, say in present day Cuba. The political system does not allow you to prosper to the same degree as where laws allow you the freedom to prosper. Think of people during times of war. there basically is not a legal, stable structure that allows prosperity to securely increase.

But how come the secular people are doing so much better in the game of wealth? Apart from the above factors, It has to do with vision. If you do not have a vision to be wealthy. you won't be wealthy. If you do not have vision to be extremely wealthy, you won't be extremely wealthy. If you have no vision to be the most wealthy in the world you won't be that either. Our vision limits us, and defines us as to where we can go, and where we will go. Most people are stuck in mediocre, it is because we have a mediocre mindset. If we can have a vision of what God say is possible, and gain knowledge, understanding and wisdom. We will start moving forward in the abundant life that Jesus spoke to us about.

Purpose of Finance 1 Tim 6:10

The Purpose for finance

A misunderstanding of what money is and what it does, is one of the primary reasons why the kingdom of God has not advanced in a faster pace, why people have not enjoyed a much better material living, but even more, this lack of understanding has kept the children of God to be off a position of influence.

Material and enjoyable things are good!

Many Christians has read 1 Tim 6:10 without having a clear context of what it is saying. Who Paul is speaking to? and what is he trying to address? The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. This is exactly correct. However how we define “Money” is, is what is causing all the different doctrine. For most “the love of money” is talking about what money can do for them. This however is too broad a definition, as you can see in the following example, the love of “money” can be of very different motivation. And as such Paul cannot be addressing the love of “money” in the generality of the word. And hence is addressing a very particular view of money.
Take for instance, The Red Cross wants money so they can help people in need, where as ISIS wants the same money so they can push a particular religious agenda. Both group in essence love money. However Red Cross will fit into a biblical idea that is described in the below verse.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:17

If we do not differentiate what meaning Paul is addressing in terms of “money”, you will misread the true intention of the verse and what Paul is addressing, if you think of the love of money in a general sense. You will attempt to hate “money” for the wrong reasons, and reject finances for what it was created to do. Money is just a standardized medium of exchange. How and what “money” is representing to people is what Paul is addressing with 1 Tim 6:10.

If you think Paul is addressing “money” as the exchanges of pleasures in this life, and he is telling us don’t love the pleasures of this life. I am going to say something profound and may shock you. Ready? This is not what Paul is addressing. Good material things in and of itself is actually NOT wrong or bad, and a life of piety is not what Paul is asking people to seek after. I would even suggest that we should be thankful and be able to use money for the good material things in life. You may ask, where is the scriptural basis for this!?
Jesus came to give us life, and life abundantly. John 10:10.
Think of this earthly example to get a bearing. If your kid wants a bike, and he comes to you, and say, “Dad, I really like to have a bike, so I can ride to school rather than walk.” You as the good father if you have the means to do it, you would buy him a decent bike, in fact, you would buy him a safe, good looking bike, probably the best one out there, and one that your son likes. Or would you buy him a rusted old falling apart bike, or maybe not give him one at all? (provided that it is save for him to ride in, yes there maybe reasons not to, but I am just trying to bring out a point). With all things being equal, you would buy him the good one, 1, because it will make him happy, 2 it will make him look good, and it will make you look good. Now read the following verse.

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Mat 7:11

You may say, I don’t know if our enjoyment of the things on earth is high on God’s priority. Then you have not had a true vision of God the good father, but understood him to be God the God father. God wants us to be joyful, if material things gives you joy, ask and receive so your joy can be complete.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.John 16:24.

Money can satisfy needs

Money apart from representing things you want, it represents the basic things you needs, food, shelter, to desire to have money to satisfy these needs and want is certainly not wrong, and is not what Paul is addressing either. Truly, take time to think about this, If someone is loving money so that he can be a provider for his family. Is Paul saying this is a root of all evil?

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Tim 5:8.

For one to provide, one must have the means to do it. And money serves this purpose.

All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along. Gal 2:10

But what about James?

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

Now we are getting to the heart of the issue. And it is not what you think. The focal point of this verse, is not talking about how you want money for things you like. Its about the “motive” to get things. Are you “lusting” for the material things? The word “pleasure” translated here in the greek is “hedone” which is a lustful desire. It is saying you want the thing so bad that you will do wrong to get it, it is an evil desire that consumes the person and not a godly one. And hence you do not receive.

When Money becomes your God, then it leads to all kinds of evil.

So if Paul is not saying you shouldn’t love money for the needs it can fulfil, the wants that it provides. Then what is he talking about? The key notion that the verse is addressing, is not that the love of the things in this world, but that those who wants to get rich, is seeking richness as the end game and goal. It is the idea that “finance” or the “material things” in and of itself will satisfy the desire of your heart, and be able to REPLACE the need of the relationship with God, which only God can satisfy. You are chasing to satisfy a need that by design could not be satisfied with material things, hence the 1 Tim 6:10 says, “Pieced themselves through with many sorrows.” And if you are loving money, to replace the need of God this is where it is a root of all evil.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”[a] Hebrews 13:5

Money on the surface has some of the properties which looks similar to God, it is a source for needs, It provides some security, it provides power. But whilst on appearance it has similarities to God, where the rubber meets the road, we can clearly see the limitations and facade that it is. Zig Ziglar summarizes this profoundly;

“You can buy a bed, but not a good night’s sleep, a house but not a home, a companion but not a friend.”  Zig Ziglar

When Jesus said we cannot serve both God and Mammon, It is addressing exactly this, People are seeing Mammon as something that can replace God. So Money or Finance is not evil, it is not an idol unless you worship it as one.

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Mat 6:24

So what is money?

Money is just a tool. It is an efficient and effective way to move, transfer and motivate resources. It’s a tool that helps you complete a purpose. It is similar to work, you don’t work for the sake of working, you work because you want to get a particular thing done. God worked in the first 6 days, not because work in itself is good or bad, work is just necessary to complete a purpose, and because of the purpose work has meaning and as the purpose is good, hence work is good.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:26

Man was created in the image of God. God is a ruler, He is the king of kings. And we were created in his image to be kings. Man’s purpose is to subdue and take dominion over the earth, so work and finances is to help us fulfil this purpose. If you seat at home and are not doing anything to subdue and dominate, providing order and managing and expanding the reign of God.  You are not actively participating in your grand design and purpose. You are not reflecting the image of God who is about Godly, Goodly dominion and expansion of his kingdom.

So why Money?

Because this is an economic world. The bible speaks much about finances, look at Leviticus, It uses things calculated with money, or physical things that are wealth based (cows, doves, harvests) It never condemns it. Abram was very rich, and it was not speaking about him rich spiritually. Its talking about he had the money!

Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. Gen 13:2

Now if we understand that “Money”, like “Work” has its place in life, and should not be shied from, it is there to fulfil a purpose. Then you understand that money fuels purpose, and as such should be embrace. And as the saying goes if you “should”, then you “MUST”!

I hope the above material gives you a different perspective on 1 Tim 6:10. If you say, I don’t have a problem with money, I don’t love it, and I don’t hate it, for a lack of a better word I am “indifferent” to it. I don’t focus on money, I focus on God!

If that is you. Then I have a very challenging thought for you to think about to see if it is true.

“For the godly desire of money is the root for all kind of goodness, some people proficient in using money have found the purpose of their faith and blessed themselves with many joy”

Purpose of money

The purpose of money is described very clearly in Deut 8:17-18,

17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Deut 8:17-18.

and Confirming his covenant, is in the context of Gen 1:26 for the domination of the earth, and the abrahamic covenant in, of the messiah coming through the linerage of Abraham. Gen 17. And the fulfilment of God’s redemption through Salvation, which is prosperity in your spirit, soul and body, (eternal, material, health)

Money is to “confirm” God’s covenant,  the Hebrew word for confirm “qum” is talking about an active stand, to accomplish, to build, to ensure, to carried out.

IF you understand that the purpose of money is a tool to use to expand the reign of God, and God has assigned and given you the power to make wealth, and if you understand this mandate, Your love (desire) for money is for this reason, Do not let your religious thought hinder you in doing the works of God.

IF you are feeling guilty because you are wealthy, and hence has the ability to enjoy the better things in life. Ask God for a revelation of who God is, as the king, and you are his child, and what the life of a prince should look like, so that he can reflect who the king is.

IF you are reading the above line, and you think it still doesn’t seat right with you. I would suggest that the root of it lies in some misunderstanding of 1 Tim 6:10. And Mat 6:24. Study it, ask the question. Is Paul condemning the love of money to serve others? Is he condemning experiencing riches that God has provided?

The sooner we started loving money as what it’s designed for we can become effective in what we are designed to do.  (challenging line isn’t it, “loving money”) Love money as the tool that it is, love it like an artist his brush, love it like a builder loving his power screw driver, a writer loving his type writer, a cook loving his stove and oven. The sooner we can see money is a tool that is necessary to effectively complete destiny. The sooner we can see the kingdom of God advancing and taking territory where the devil has stolen ground.

Providence

Luke 12:15-46
The world system works on sowing and reaping, this is a biblical principle and when you think about it, it is a miracle in itself. Inside every seed there is a grand design that it will reproduce what is written inside its DNA to do. A corn when it lands on the ground, with a mixture of water, will start to grow. It is alive! And it takes on energy from light, takes up nutrients from the earth, and in time it will produce a 100 folds of that seed. Who started all this? And Why? It was God, whom from the very beginning of creation, laid out this master plan! And why? Because he loves his creatures, and provides for them.

15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” Luke 12:15

In luke 12:15, we read that, we should not covet, we shouldn’t seek to hoard and greed over things. Because the idea to be greedy and store up things for yourself was not in the initial design. When God created Adam, Adam actually has all. All that on the earth was his, the riches of the world belonged to him. So imagine the not fallen world, with all of Adam’s children. They had no need for clothes, they had no need for food, they just pick what they wanted to eat from the fruits of the land. This was the original design. Fast forward that to a “unfallen” now, where there are a billion people. What would have the world looked like? It would have been the same, as there were still ample supply. People can just pick fruits that they wanted to eat. There is no need for storage, there is no need to hoard anything. Because its available. Think about if you live near a river. Do you need to think about storing up water? Think about your home now, you have a tap, do you store up bucket loads of water in your home? You don’t because you know you have access. There is unlimited supply.

24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Luke 12:24

Luke 12:24, Jesus was explaining the exact principle to the crowd. That we have access, we have supply. Consider the birds, they don’t sow nor reap, they don’t have barns or storehouses, but God feed them, it was a design from the very beginning, and how much more it is for man, who was given the dominion of this earth, and holder of the affection of the creator, who relates to us as the father to his son. For the Christian, we are the sons of God.

28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! Luke 12:28

Luke 12:28 brings in to a concluding part of this portion of the message, and it is profound. “O ye of little faith”. Why does “faith” got anything to do with it? We are talking about physical means of providence, why is faith involved? Lets explore this. When we worry about our food and our daily living, what it is saying is, we have placed our faith in the idea, that there is not enough or there is not going to be enough. So what we are saying in our belief is:

1)      God’s design for providence of food doesn’t work. Or,
2)      Or God’s design for food works in the beginning but it is a fallen world, and Adam now has to work the ground to bear fruit. And God doesn’t have the authority or the means to change that. Even if he wants to.
3)      God might have the power to change it, but he doesn’t love us to do it.

But Jesus is telling us otherwise, even in this fallen world, the birds still lives and has food, the hills still looks beautiful even after the fall. And if these lesser creatures, and the hills of the earth by itself, is still under the providence of God. Us the beloved, as Adam, the son of God is much more under the providence of God.

29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. Luke 12:29

Luke 12:29, tells us not to seek what we should eat, or what we should drink, and do not be anxious in your mind about these things.  “Anxious mind” in the Greek is “Meteorizo” which is to be doubtful in the mind. It is in effects talking about the same thing as in verse 28. We should not doubt, or be anxious about the providence of God. Not be anxious of God’ providence, not to be anxious of God’s intention, his ability to bring it to pass.

30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. Luke 12:30

Luke 12:30 For all these things, the “Nations of the world” seeks. So here we see that God is drawing a distinction in identity. 1) The nations of the world, and 2) NOT the nations of the world. So Who are the nations of the world, and in context who are NOT the nations of the world, and why? Obviously the distinction is that whom Jesus is speaking to are addressing the “not the nations of the world” and the distinction is that those people are the children of God. “For the Father knows that we have need of these things.”  In context we see that, whilst Jesus is talking to the Israelites, but is not talking to them in their national identity, but in the context of believers and hence children of God. Also refer to vs 46.

31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Luke 12:31

So how does all this providence come? It comes via God’s Kingdom, verse 31 in context, It is not talking about working and toiling for the kingdom as a condition so that all these things shall be added unto you, it is talking about seek to know more of how the kingdom works, study the kingdom, search the kingdom inquire of the kingdom, the kingdom is how all these things are going to come about. What is the kingdom of God? It is the supernatural providence that Jesus operated out of, it is the unlimited providence of the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the multiplication of food to feed thousands, pulling coins out of fish mouth, it is opening of blind eyes, deaf ears, removal of pain, and raising of the dead.

How do we access the kingdom of God? It is through our identity as a citizen of the kingdom, being a son of the king. And we do so by freely accepting the amazing sonship and citizenship that is given to us, by believing Jesus, when he says I am giving these to you. You receive it by believing in what he says. So is the kingdom refrained from us, and hard to access? and only available to a selected few?

32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32

Do we have to jump hoops to gain the favor of God, in order to access the kingdom? NO! vs 32 tells us that it is the Fathers good pleasure to give us the kingdom. Lets elaborate on this, its not just that God has it available for us, and his intentions are neutral. No! He WANTS to feed us with his kingdom, he WANTS us to have it, it is his PLEASURE for us to have it.

45 But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk. Luke 12:45

So does this providence come with the condition that you need to be a good steward? The answer is no and yes. First the No. No you can be a bad steward of this, and still have access to it. Because the kingdom is available to you, and it is God’s good pleasure for you to have access to this. You have access to this because it is a system set up by God, we see in the description in verse 45, you can be a bad steward, beat people below you, eat, drink and be drunk, but nevertheless you are still a steward of the kingdom’s resources. Now on to the Yes part. This providence comes with a responsibility, we who has access to the kingdom has the responsibility to use the resources wisely. Verse 46, The ones who don’t use it wisely, they will have the same portions as the unbelievers. I don’t yet have a revelation as to what this verse means fully, but it is clear that having the portions as the unbeliever is not a good thing! And will update this post as I gain more insight on to this.

Full Power of Attorney

Power of Attorney

Understanding the Full Power of Attorney that we have in God.

Matthew 10:1King James Version (KJV)

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

In Matt 10:1, we saw that Jesus giving the 12 disciples, the power against
unclean spirits-power to cast them out
All sickness- power to heal them
All Disease- power to heal them

The disciples understood this, as they replicated what they saw Jesus did. As Jesus healed, so did they. As Jesus said a word to heal the sick, they did exactly the same thing, and not doubting what Jesus has given them. They went out and did exactly that.

Think about what the disciples were thinking, back at the day. and you can see how that applies to us. Jesus told them, guys, you have seen me heal people, cast out demons. This is what we are going to do, I am going to send you out to different cities. and I give you the exact power and authority to use my name to do exactly the same thing. So follow what I did, and sickness and devils will obey. I give you full power of attorney to use my name for such a task.

Today, as disciples of the same Lord, we see that in

Matt 28:18-20.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

we were given the same commission, the eleven were to teach all nations, (ie us) to observe all things, whatsoever Jesus has commanded them.
So in the same light, we were to walk as the disciples walked, which is in full authority to use the name of Jesus to destroy all works of the devil. and as we have been commissioned, we have been given the means to execute, like that of the twelve.

Mark 16:16-18
16"He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17"These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;18they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

The extent to which we understand what the full power of attorney entails, we will be able to walk in the fullness of being as Jesus is on this earth. You can heal the sick, you can caste out demons, you believe it to walk in it. thousands of believers are waking up to this supernatural reality.

Being Sick

Over the last 2 weeks, my daughter has been battling a bad case of coughing, which in time turned into pneumonia. of which we needed to take her to the Hospital, and she stayed there for 5 days, on antibiotics This is challenging for someone who understands that as Christians, we have authority over sickness. The obvious question that our carnal mind jumps into asking is what happened? Why didn't it work? Was it unbelief? but more so new questions starts coming up, which are related to Does Jesus' stripes cover everything? or is it something only?

So I was asking God about this, and my understanding is, the devil is here to steal, kill and destroy, Jesus came to give us life, and life abundantly, (John 10:10). So surely coughing and having a fever is NOT life abundantly. So why is she not recovered, and at the same time showed signs of deterioration.

I was shown by the Lord, a game of Show hand. the devil has his hand, we had ours, we opened our 3, and the devil his, he had a pair of ace, and a king, and I had 2,4,6. so he calls the shots, he raises me half my stack, I followed and put in my chips. The next card rolls out. He gets another king, netting to a "2 pairs", and I am with a 3. I had really crappy cards, Devil's call again, he does an all in, and he is telling me I should fold, you win some and you lose some, cut your losses early. So in my mind the idea of yea, maybe you do win some and lose some, cut lose early, gain back on a better hand. But if I get a 5, it will be a 5 in a row, and will win his two pairs, but he just needs either an ace, or a king to do a full house. So contemplating a little, I wanted to stick to the game plan. Put it all in. and as the card was dealt, I get a 5, which gives me 5 in a row, and wins over the devils two pairs.
The notion is that, whilst the devil looks to have the upper hand in between, but the game is rigged for you.

The moral of the story, is we need to know what is reality, and make a stance on it. When the bible said, by his stripes you were healed, 1 Peter 2:24. Is he saying by his stripes SOME were healed? no the connotations is for all. all who believes. if you don't believe in it, you can't receives it. But I was believing, why didn't I see it healed immediately? this gave me a revelation of a few different things, which I will study further, and if there are others who has better revelation on this, do share in the comments.

1) The devil will fight you, primarily not for your health, he fights you for your revelation. He wants to steal your revelation, he wants to plant Doubts into you, on the following 3 things, God's promises, God's Nature, and Your identity.  it is his oldest trick. He wants to give you an idea that, well the Bible says, but not everyone can pull it through, there are limitations to God's healing power, it is a fallen world and decease and sickness are here because of Adam's fall, and you can do nothing about it. This is the message that he wants you to believe in, and as such puts you in a position of unbelief, of which he then gains grounds on you.

2) The Devil has always had a limited budget, its all a facade. He puts up these big posters of bad report, telling you he is winning, he is here to stay, you can't do nothing about it. but in the background, he is struggling to lift these posters up, every time you hit him with the truth of God, he gets shattered, and new reinforcement needs to come in to hold up these bad reports. He is on a limited budget.

3) We have a wrong definition of what is being "healed" is. Lets look at it this way. John Doe owns a property that under neath it had billions of barrows of oil, one day an oil company came by his house, and said they wanted to test to see if the ground had oil, of which if it did. they will buy it or go into a joint venture with John. and as they drill, the oil exploded out of the drill. and John Doe signed a contract with the company and receives 10 Million dollars and became partners in the oil company.
Now did John Doe became a millionaire over night? or John was a millionaire because of what he had, but he just didn't know it?

Healing, came when we believe in Jesus, we already have it. The manifestation of those healing on the physical body comes because of that healing. It is the bases of what you believe, do you believe in the word of God that says you are healed, or do you believe because you see that this sickness is still on you, hence you call yourself sick? Think about this, this is profound. Do you reckon yourself to be sick, because there are symptoms of the sickness or bacteria on you? of do you reckon yourself well, because Jesus has healed you, and the sickness will have to leave, because you believe in God's word. Never take possession or identity in sickness. It is against everything of God. God wants you well.

Back to where I am today, I also have the devil attacking me, with cough and sickness. It was trying to steal me revelation that I had supernatural immunity. I recall the days I use to get sick really easily, its like, on I have the flu AGAIN!, looking back, I have not had the flu on me since maybe a year ago, and at that, I took a day off, slept, drink water, and was out of it, by the next day.

So what to do if you are under such attacks? Draw near to God's words, anchor in deeper in the revelation of what Jesus has done. Make your reality based on the works of Jesus. Always remember this, the enemy has limited ammunition, he has limited budget, he is barely pulling through to put that sickness on you. He is one step away from it all falling apart. Don't give room for his evil doctrines, if you believe in his lies, he gains ground, and uses that against you. Get into the word of God.  Then the next thing that the bible tells you to do is do this,

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:5

Think about what this scripture is saying, casting down imaginations that exalt itself against, the knowledge of God.

in relations to sickness this is about sickness being more powerful than what Jesus has done.
What do you do? you don't let it slide, you grab that thought by the throat, and you bring it down to the floor in submission to the obedience of Christ. Sickness, in Jesus name, Submit to the authority of Jesus Christ, get out of my Body in Jesus name.

Can you feel the warrior nature of the Holy Spirit, coming against the things he hates?
Everyday your sickness drags, as you are commanding the sickness to go, we are using up the limited ammunition of the enemy, he is thinking, I don't know how long we can hold on here, these children of God are getting aggressive. Know who you are in Christ. Righteousness of God.

Journey 4: Grace

Through the searching of healing teachings, I was lead to hear this guy by the name of Andrew Wommack. I think it was on you tube. I was hearing him on the topic of "God wants you well". He had a strange voice, mid Texan maybe, sound a little like Zig Ziglar when I first heard him! The message was very encouraging. Reinforcing the notion that, sickness does not come from God, it is not there to make you learn anything, it is sent to steal from you, destroy your family and to kill you. John 10:10. Then I found his site, and to my amazement, he has an abundant of teaching, for FREE! it has really interesting topics, so I started downloading his podcast, and started listening to them again, all free, and available if you just search for Andrew Wommack. There are a few that are there, some are his radio stuff, which is shorter, but if you are after a full teaching, search for the pod cast that is named "audio teachings", I couldn't encourage you enough, his stuff is all good news.

So whats so cool about this guy? well the perspective that he has on topics is really new to me, but more so than that, it again makes a lot of sense. its crazily simple, and as the content was really thought intriguing. Slowly I have started to find out that there are different flavor of Christianity as we know it. Obviously God didn't mean it to be in various flavors. But the spread of Christendom is so wide that on one end, you have people who are believing in things which the other end is not believing in at all. I had no idea this was so, and thought all brothers and sisters, were in fact connected by one common belief. but in fact we are not. I didn't understand this, and only on hindsight, did I figure out that some preachers talk about this, and I didn't understand what they were talking about. Nicky Gumble from Alpha course talked about a hypothetical story about two christians discussing what they believe, and until they get to one very minute difference in point, they started to fight. And then Curry Blake was talking about, I can't comment on why people do what they do, because he don't know what they believe. this was such an eye opener. I had no idea Christianity was at such a gap. I thought okay you have the baptist, the methodist, evangelicals, the pentacostals/charismatics. but basically they believe in the same stuff! but NO this is not where the dividing line is. But an understanding of what the Gospel really entails.

So where am I trying to get at? well lets approach it this way, I will explain what I used to believe, and then now what I believe, and why I believe in it.

I have been a "Christian" for more than 20 years. and I thought I knew what Christianity is all about, but now looking at it, I had no idea what believing Jesus is about. This was my believe; that as a Christian, when we believe in Jesus, we get to go to heaven when we die. we spend eternity with God. all sounds good so far. So when you believe, all the sins you have committed up to that point, are all forgiven! Horray! Now you start this road of santification, where you leave your sinful ways, and start stepping towards the holiness that God has called you to be. if this is you read on! if not, share what you believe is Christianity.

God was a distant character, big, vague, and loves me, with a love I don't really understand. But more so than this, He is Holy. holy like, if us sinful creature touches him, we are zapped. like Uzzah in 2 Samuel 6:7, you can do it with best of intentions, but God is holy and humans just can't touch this. The relationship with God was, God is big, his ways are mysterious, because his ways are higher than my way, what he said is good, must be good. and I don't understand it, because he is God and I am human. There is a longing to please him, first because he has some goodies for me, if I am good, but also he is a God who zaps, if I fall out of line, not only I lose my goodies, but man there is PUNISHMENT to teach me a lesson, so that I can be "good", for the general good in an utilitarian term, but more so good for my ownself. My relationship with God was, based on the basis that I am to strive and do good, this pleases God, after all he provided the ultimate sacrifice, if he did this much, shouldn't it be right for me to do my best in turn to honor him, please him? He is holy, therefore I must be holy. So here I am trying to do my best to please God, but God damn it, I really fall short, I promise to read the bible, the devil steps in, and instead of reading the bible, I started playing my Playstation. At that stage, I repented, felt sorry for myself, God forgave me, and I am on the okay page with God again. Then I did the same thing the next week, and God was patient with me, and I was forgiven and then the week after that I did the same. I promised God I will read the bible in a year and in December I am hardly over Samuel. Falling short for the 50th time in the year, I started thinking God, you better not forgive me, I deserve to have this sin on me for a while, so I can reflect, contemplate, be serious about my promises to God. and after a while, I would ask God for forgiveness, but at that time, feeling shameful in front of God.
Then on some good days, I would be doing really well, reading 10 chapters a day, completing these amazing fasts that goes for days, and feeling I am getting pretty high on the holy scale, and I would be praying to God, asking God for things, bargaining with God, saying I have sacrificed so much, I have performed so well, in the past week, I must be getting holier, and hence God, I ask, and I shall receive! trying to bend God's arm to do what I think God wants us to pray for. This was my perspective of God, and my understanding of his relationship with me. Its about us wanting what we think God wants. After all, arn't we suppose to seek his "kingdom" first, and his "righteousness", then ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE ADDED UNTO MMMMEEEE!!! But wait there is more, apart from this performance based idea of pleasing God, in Mathew 7, there are those who did all these wonderful things, casting out demons, doing miracles, prophesying, but at the end of the day, they get to Heaven, and Jesus said, I never knew you. and castes you out to where there is gashing of teeth. Holy! that better not be me! So I must obey God, and all his commandments, better not judge others, then thinking in my mind, but that prick of a brother over there, he gets me to do all the work, then he shows up to take all the glory. and that sister over there, always comes late to lead bible study, doesn't she know that there are unbelievers here trying to learn about God, where is her heart? This guy, why does he always sleep in services? that is so disrespectful to the pastor, but more over disrespectful to God. and him, sold me this dud of an insurance plan, got me stuck at these non-performing crap, and say I am your brother I will take care of you. Wait Wait, all these thoughts, so wrong, God is not pleased when I am having these thoughts, must repent. So this is a glimpse of the relationship I had with God. Trying to improve myself with the help of Jesus. not being very successful. But all in all, God looks to the heart, he knows I try, but I am only human.  So here I am going to people trying to "Convert" them to Christianity, with this really bad news, which I called the gospel. and I was so blind that I don't even see why non-christians are not interested. If you do not understand what I am talking about, its a dud insurance plan that claims to payout at the end of your life, but there is no evidence that it has the power to follow though, and what it is selling has as high a chance of achieving this goal as flipping a coin.

Ok, so this was my past. Thank God, I now live different, and really would like to let others know of the amazing life that I now live. Ready to hear the good news?

This is the start of my understanding.
